Supermarket Cashier

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Supermarket Cashier to process purchases accurately and provide efficient checkout service. The ideal candidate should have basic numerical skills, handle payments responsibly, and maintain a friendly approach when assisting customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scan products and process customer purchases using the checkout system.
• Accept cash, card, and other authorized forms of payment.
• Issue receipts and ensure transactions are completed accurately.
• Handle cash responsibly and follow cash register procedures.
• Assist customers with basic questions, pricing concerns, and checkout issues.
• Keep the checkout area clean and organized and report transaction discrepancies to the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic mathematics and cash-handling skills.
• Good communication and customer service abilities.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
• Strong attention to detail, honesty, and reliability.
• Previous supermarket, retail, or cashier experience is preferred.
